Sogang University Hack Exposes Personal Data of 180,000, Including Former President Park Geun-hye

Sogang University's Digital Information Office posted a "Notice and Apology Regarding Personal Information Breach Incident" on its website on August 14, stating: "It has been confirmed that some personal information related to integrated login account credentials was leaked due to an external attack by unidentified parties." The leaked information includes names, affiliations, email addresses, mobile phone numbers, user IDs (student/employee numbers), and encrypted integrated passwords. Unique identification data such as resident registration numbers and financial account numbers were reportedly not included in the breach.
