Ukrainian court sentences rogue ex-MP Andrii Derkach to 15 years for high treason

HACC press service reported that the former lawmaker was sentenced to 15 years in prison with full confiscation of his property. Investigation showed that between 2019 and 2020, Derkach regularly met in Moscow with representatives of Russian General Staff (GRU) and later held press conferences aimed at discrediting Ukraine. Law enforcement agencies stated that between 2019 and 2022, Derkach received at least $567k from Russian intelligence services, utilizing the funds to orchestrate information attacks against Ukraine.
