Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman Meets BVI Premier, Discusses Opportunities to Expand Financial Services Cooperation

New Delhi: Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman met Natalio D. Wheatley, Premier of the British Virgin Islands (BVI) , in New Delhi on Monday and discussed opportunities to deepen economic and financial cooperation between India and the British Virgin Islands. Premier Wheatley is leading a delegation of financial services experts from the BVI on a visit to India covering New Delhi, GIFT City, Mumbai and Bengaluru . During the meeting, Wheatley said the delegation’s visit aims to expand the BVI’s engagement with India, particularly in areas such as financial services, FinTech, digital transformation, trade, investment promotion and capacity building .
